As Amon, he was committed to his people and his country. With a single minded goal to improve peoples lives, he did everything in his power to make lives easier. More comfortable. Countless technological advancements were made to protect and support the people, and to allow for them to thrive.When this seemed to not be enough, he even sought to reverse death itself, bringing back the Emperor Xande, to create a goal that would awaken the peoples spirits and allow them to take control of their lives and their desires. He determined people needed a challenge, as well as the means to persue it. Though, under the thumb of the emperor, he found himself drained of will and forced into actions he would otherwise have never allowed himself to take. Xande was a cruel ruler, and took no small pleasure in manipulating Amon into acts of horror. He took advantage of him in every way he could imagine, and Amon forced himself to allow it, for the benefit of the people.Emet-Selch of course, had been no help here. Having already sown seeds of doubt in Amon's mind of if it would work, of if his attempts to save peoples lives would pay off. If this had not been a detriment, then certainly, forcing the many, many shards of Hermes into Amons mind did nothing to help.Remembering was a greater curse than anything else that could have been done. Fully convinced that all attempts to save, preserve, and help would only ever result in suffering and pain, Fandaniel began to quickly deteriorate into insanity. He feared Emet more than anything else in the worlds, and still, he cannot concieve of anything more terrifying. Not that he'll admit it, or act like it.Fandaniel never sought the seat, and with it now forced upon him twice over, he realised his fate was unavoidable. This whole life, his whole existence, was doomed from the start; there was no peace, no happiness, and nothing that could ever turn him from this path. Even if he wished to do good, it would only make things worse.Hope is the last to die. Fandaniel is well and truly dead.In the interim, however, he was gifted one singular oppertunity. Emet as Solus cared not to bother with caring for his near orthaned grandchildren, and their mother seemed to distance herself more than not. He was allowed to be the carer of the young princes; Varis and Livius. And oh, he adored them. He loved them so very much. They were sweet children, and he did everything he could to make them happy, comfortable, and cared for. In this form, he was Apollo.It is truly a shame, then, that Emet Solus removed him from the position on Varis' sixteenth.Later, he came across a raging hurt soul in the form of Asahi, Feeling pity, sympathy, and finding him rather dear, he offered him a strange deal.Asahi could continue to live, if only though Fandaniel. They could fuse him into themselves, mixing their soul shards into an abomination, and creating an oppertunity for him to maintain his closeness to his beloved. Much of his behaviour was integrated with the body they inhabited as a result. Though, ultimately, the most of what changed was his attraction towards Zenos personally.Right now, he likes to maintain his theatrics and amicable persona at Zenos' side, rather than indulge in the aching grief and boredom that threatens to pull him under. Still; the duty he is bound to, by being Fandaniel, will not leave him. And he does not seek to free himself from that yoke.
